Obama's pick for Secretary of Health and Human Services

His name is Tom Daschle. He used to be the Senate minority leader for the Democrats, and he was voted out of office a few years ago. Interestingly, he wasn't on the list of possible candidates on the CQ Politics game.

I think that it would be great if Hilary Cliton was the Secretary of State, because she seems to be knowlegable about whats going on and it wuld be great to have a woman in as the Secretary of State. As i was reading this article I think that is it also good that Bill Clinton supports the idea of Hilary being the Secretary of State even though the relationship between him and Obama are tense. I think that its interesting that obama wants to elect Mr. Daschle to the Department of Health and Human services when a few years ago the Democrats voted him off of the Senate Democratic Leader in 2004. People seem to think that he is going to cause problems with the health insurance because of the problems with the economy. I hope everything works out.

The biggest thing in the news right now seems to be about Barack Obama's cabinet. People are anxiously waiting to see who Obama will pick as his advisors. I saw in the newspaper the other day that Tom Daschle was chosen to be the new secretary of health and human services. The article was interesting because it referred to the likelihood of Hilary Clinton being appointed as secretary of state. This possibility, if actualized, can be either good or bad. I think, however, that Clinton would bring her knowledge and experience appropriately.
