i don't think that we should be giving that much money to the car companies. I think that we should be using that money for something else. They could be suing that 15 billion to make more jobs for people who already don't have any jobs. I know that if they don't give them the money millions of people will be out of a job. But there is already out now so shouldn't they be worried about the people who don't have one?But its what they wanna do its not like i will change their decision.
I think if Congress were to loan General Motors and Chrysler $15 billion would be considered a good thing but at the same time a bad thing. The reason it would be a good thing is because when both General Motors and Chrysler payback congress they will pay them back with interest, which is really good thing. Also we should loan them the money because if we don't then people who worked for General Motors and Chrysler will get laid off and lose their jobs, and there are so many people working for them. The reason why it is a bad thing is because our nation is already in debt, and where are we getting this $15 billion from if we're in debt. Also that money can go to other things besides a car company, for example people who don't have health insurance. So basically it can be a good thing to loan them the $15 billion, but at the same time a bad thing.
In my opinion, I think that we shouldn't give the money. First of all, $15 billion are alot of money and we could use that money for something more important. The country is in debt and saving a car company won't really be a big help on us. The country have more important problems to deal with. For example, they could use the money for education. That way, more people will have a good education. Also, the increase on job loses. They should focus more on that rather than doing this. We're not really going to benefit anything back if they do decide to save those car companies. The country is in crisis and we should focus more on its debt and making it better.
I think it's a bad idea to loan $15 billion to car companies and there are a couple of reasons why. The first reason is that if Congress loans money to a car company, that company is going to keep on asking for money and might not return the money. The second reason is that other car companies might ask Congress for money and Congress might not be able to loan money or give a certain amount of money. The third reason is that Congress should be loaning money to better issues such as education. Congress should be more careful in making decisions to loan money to companies.
I think if the government loans Chrysler and GM $15 billion, would be a good and bad thing. A good thing about it is that those companies are American made and won't cost the US, more money. Another good thing is it decreasing the unemployment rate, because it is very high right now. A bad thing is that we don't have money to give out at this moment. There are smaller companies that might need it more than those car companies.
I really disagree whit the whole idea to give the car industries the loan to help them from going bankrupt. I actually think that its a terrible idea because the United States is in a recession and really close to being in depression and they rather give money to cars instead of more important things that could use money, for example hospitals.
I think that giving this much money would interfere with things that are going on with our world today. I think this a good and bad idea. There are many pros and cons. I think that government needs to worry about other thing then cars because if people don’t have jobs then how are we going to get cars so what would that do to our people? Then I think this is a good thing, because we will get more money back then we put out. But I hope what ever decision they make will be a good one and won’t put us in more debt.
i think this can be a good thing but a bad thing as well. it can be a good thing because if the companies do end up closing then this means their will be an increase in unemployment. all these unemployed workers will affect our economy too. if they don't have a job then they don't have money to spend and our economy gets worst. it is a bad thing because we can use that money for some necessities that can be more important that may even deal with our health. there are a lot of cars that pollute the air and maybe it is a good thing that they don't get this loan so it will force our nation to purchase hybrid cars.
"$15billion for car companies" In a way i think that it is ridiculous that we are giving so much money for cars because people don't need cars i mean there is always public transportation that people can use but than i look at it as an investment for the U.S. because eventually we will get the money back. If we do this than the U.S. will get money from the interest of the loan because its not like we are letting them have the money, all we are doing is letting them borrow it. This can be a good thing because it can actually improve our economy, because if we didn't give them the money, imagine how many people would lose their jobs! That would be all bad because than so many Americans wold be in dept and than we would have a lot of jobless people. Ultimately if we give them the money than people would be able to keep their jobs and that would help out our economy!
I don't think we should give the car companies money. The money that we are giving them isn't even ours. The $15 billion can go to more important things. The $15 billion that was loan to us will eventually have to be paid back, including interest. Then we will have to wait for the car companies to pay us back and at the end we wouldn't be receiving anything. I feel sorry for the millions of workers who work for the companies because they are losing out on a lot of money. But the government isn't helping Mervyns and Mervyns put a lot of clothes and other items in many households. If we lose these car companies we would have to worry about paying tariffs on foreign cars, but everybody doesn't need a car. They could go get a bus schedule or do carpool. It will help the pollution in the United States. The government needs to put that $15 billion into better use. The car companies knew they were about to go bankrupt. If nobody is buying their cars now, why do they expect people to buy them in the future.
I don't think that we should give the car companies for several different reasons. For example these cars companies have CEOs that make millions a year so they should reduce their income in order to pay for their employees. But at the same time I do think we should help them in some way because these companies have many people working for them. I they lose their jobs there will be a huge increase of unemployed people.
I think thst this is a bad and good thing at the same time. We should give money to them because we need the cars, but also we need the money for some other things as well. i think we need the money for heslth care and for education. But might as well help the cars because we need them to travel and to get to places.
