Check out the updated electoral map on CQPolitics.com. Why do you think things are swinging in his favor?

I have a good feeling that Obama will win the presidency. I feel that Palin is overshadowing McCain. She has been really controversial in interviews and I think people talk about her more than they talk about McCain. Obama is keeping focused and has a really good tax plan. People are finally looking beyond the fact that he is a black man running for the presidency and noticing that he is a man that really has the best interest of the American people in mind.
Someone who might look at this without reading anything would say that McCain was winning because he has more states for him. But truely it's Obama that is winning electoral votes which is really important for him to win. I seen that Obama has more safe states than Obama. Hopefully those swing states could choose either Obama or McCain, so that people could know who is going to win.
I think Obama's numbers are going up so fast are mainly because of public disapproval for the other candidate, McCain. First of all, he has the Bush seal of approval which is like the kiss of death in politics these days. And secondly, his vp choice Sarah Palin is starting to get old. At first, she was this novel idea in a hard-hitting election but after her initial appeal has run out, she has been exposed for an attractive woman without much experience and who says stupid things to important people. She is pro-life, of course and that was a major factor to why she was chosen but now people are starting to think more realistically. McCain is 72 and if he dies during the upcoming term (assuming he wins), Sarah Palin will be in control of our country. This is just fundamentally wrong to many people.
Obama has also always had support of the people and it has never worn off, rather it has only gotten stronger as the election draw nearer. He is looking to be the winning candidate right now and people will want to back a winning candidate. Many are just jumping on the bandwagon.
I think things are looking good for Obama because according to the CQ politics poll his numbers are going up. In the scenario builder map it looks like McCain has more red then Obama's blue but in reality Obama's numbers are up. I also think his numbers are going up because of his debates performance. He did really good and represented his party well.
I think Obama is winning the swing states for many reasons. One reason is because of the debates. In the debates I believe he presented his self well, especially in the last debate. Another reason might be because they're many people who are waiting for a change. They see how President Bush is handling things, and believe Senator McCain will be the same. I think if the map is correct and a lot of people vote for Senator Obama, we will have a change.
